Michael Schneider, Ph.D.Research Fellow

Overview

Mike Schneider has dedicated his professional career in helping others; from two tours of military service, to a distinguished career in law enforcement before joining the ranks of academia, Dr. Schneider currently sits on his local governmental board and heads several sub-committees including Economic Development as well as Public Health and Safety. He continues to consult with non-profits organizations and private firms, such as the International Association of Chiefs of Police, as well as local and state government agencies in the area of public development, strategic organizations, and leadership.

Teaching and Research Interests

Dr. Schneider’s interests center on large organizations and the leadership skills necessary to effectively lead them; the relationship between Organizational Development and the impact on Organizational Behavior; Contemporary Leadership in the 21stCentury; and Succession Planning. Dr. Schneider is currently an instructor at Concordia University in Organizational Development/Leadership and Criminal Justice Administration.  He also teaches at several local technical colleges and universities in Leadership Challenges; Organizational Behavior Analysis; Organizational Development; and a host of Criminal Justice courses including Criminal Behavior-Profiling Violent Offenders; Forensic Science; and Criminal Justice Administration.

Qualifications

MASTER’S DEGREE IN ADMINISTRATIVE LEADERSHIP

Mike Schneider holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Management of Criminal Justice, from Concordia University, as well as a Master’s Degree in Organizational Development and Leadership, highest honors, from Sliver Lake College.

DOCTORATE OF PHILOSOPHY IN LEADERSHIP STUDIES

Mike Schneider completed her Doctorate of Philosophy in Leadership Studies in December of 2016 with a specialization in Organizational Training and Criminal Justice.
